The aim of the workshop is to bring together different audiences:
The 3-days workshop will be split into two major themes, essentially ‘software/data’ and ‘hardware’. The former includes research on data processing, dealing with large data sets, different geospatial data approaches, etc., while the latter will focus on technologies used in sensors and in small platforms in both EO and planetary science missions. Additionally, there will be representatives of relevant agencies (e.g. ESA) invited to discuss business development opportunities relevant to these themes.
The meeting will mix academic presentations in relevant areas with opportunities for industry to demonstrate their products and services, built around a significant amount of time for networking and interchange of ideas between the closely related but traditionally separate fields of EO and planetary science.
Participants: 50-80
