Thirty one representatives of the Europlanet community have met in Brussels to discuss the future of Europlanet and proposals for Horizon 2020.  At the meeting, Professors Nigel Mason and Steve Miller presented the latest version of the Europlanet Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which has now been signed by 23 organisations in 15 countries.

“This MoU is an important step in the evolution of the Europlanet project, which has worked since 2005 to consolidate the European planetary science community,” explains Prof Miller.  “The MoU is a ‘good will’ community building measure.  The MoU signatories will be able to use the Europlanet brand in developing proposals for future activities. We look forward to seeing a number of world-class planetary initiatives associated with the Europlanet brand as we approach the next decade.”
