Activities for Early Careers during DPS-EPSC 2023
The EPEC@EPSC working group has teamed up with the DPS Professional Development Subcommittee and is excited to offer several activities for early careers at the conference. Join us for an early career social event, take a short course on mental health, sign up for the mentoring, or stop by our booth. We look forward to seeing you in San Antonio!
Mentoring at DPS-EPSC 2023
The Europlanet Early Career (EPEC) network invites you to participate in the fifth edition of the Mentoring@EPSC program. The mentoring will provide one-to-one meetings between students, PhD candidates, postdocs, and established researchers for informal conversation and exchange of experiences. All of this with the goal of offering early careers a networking opportunity and a better experience at DPS-EPSC 2023!
Sign up as a MENTEE, if any of these apply:
- this is your first in-person conference, or first DPS or EPSC conference and you are looking for guidance to successfully navigate the DPS-EPSC 2023,
- you are a student looking for opportunities to get support in networking and career development,
- you are keen to meet an experienced researcher from a similar scientific field.
We will notify you of your assigned mentor approximately two weeks prior to the conference. Meetings will be arranged on your independent basis and you will be asked to meet with your mentor in person at least once during the conference. The deadline to sign-up is September 10th, 2023.
- you are attending DPS-EPSC 2023 in person, you have experience with attending numerous international conferences, are feeling confident navigating them, and are willing to share your own knowledge, experience, and networking tips with an early career professional.
We will notify you of your assigned mentee(s) approximately two weeks prior to the conference. Meetings will be arranged on your independent basis and you will be asked to meet with your mentee in person at least once during the conference. The deadline to sign-up is September 10th, 2023.
