BepiColombo, the European Space Agency’s first mission to Mercury, was launched on 20 October 2018 and will reach the Solar System’s innermost planet in 2025.

Earth Flyby

At 04:25 UTC on 10th April 2020, BepiColombo made its closest approach to Earth at a low altitude of 12,700 km. This was its first and only flyby of Earth. Observers were invited to submit their images of the flyby.
